Lordings Lane Road Fund

Projects
The Lordings Lane Road Fund organise projects to ensure that the lane is fit for the purpose of allowing people, cars, deliveries and emergency vehicles to access the properties along the lane in a safe and efficient manner.
Since the AGM in the summer of 2104, the committee has completed the
following tasks:
-
Cleaned the road signs in the lane.
-
Dug the gully allowing rain water to drain from Smock Alley.
-
Arranged for Sussex County Council to dig the gully on the other side of the lane in Smock Alley.
-
Trimmed the hedges at the Hagland’s Lane end to widen the lane.
-
Arranged for the leaf clearing party on 7th December to clear the autumn leaves.
Still to do:
We have approached Sussex County Council to dig the gully at the opposite side of Smock Alley to allow the rain water to drain away and not stand as a pool at the end of Lordings Lane.
