New Development

 

A developer has proposed to build 21 new houses in the fields next to Smock Alley/Haglands Lane. 

 

 

This development has been refused by Horsham District Council for the following reasons:

 

1. The site has limited accessibility to sustainable modes of transport, distance to local services and reliance on the private car.

2. The site is considered to isolate the woodland area and result in significant landscape harm.

3. No legal agreement is in place to secure the additional infrastructure requirements arising from new development.

 

The developers have a right of appeal to the Secretary of State within 26 weeks from the 25th March 2015
